Art By Ingrid offers face and body painting for children and adults, including glow-in-the-dark (black light reactive) paints.
We use only professional-grade, non-toxic, water-soluble paints and exercise finely honed skills to bring the WOW factor!

Please note:
COVID-19 precautions are practiced, and sanitization between customers (or single-use products used where applicable) is performed.
Face and body paints should only be applied to clean and dry skin. Art By Ingrid will not paint on skin that shows visible signs of skin disease, infection, or cold sore or anyone who appears ill, such as runny nose, coughing, sneezing, or fever.
A cosmetic fixative spray can be applied for more extended wear. However, the designs will not be waterproof.
A skin patch test can be done before the full application for allergy concerns.
Face & Body Painting Pricing

Hire Artist Ingrid Marie to paint your child's face and the party guests in a specific theme, or let them choose! Once availability is requested, a 50% deposit and contract must be submitted to book these services.
Small Party: Minimum 1 Hour at $180 for ten guests or less; each additional 15-minute increment is billed at $45.
Large Party: Minimum 1.5 Hours at $270 for 15 or more guests. Each additional 30-minute increment is billed at $90.
Your price includes professional, non-toxic paints, gems and glitter, set-up and clean-up time.
Designs can only be performed once Set Up is complete when your booked service time begins. Once your booked service time is up, further requests to continue painting are owed in 15-minute increments, payable immediately.
Please provide a 4-foot or 6-foot table (or comparable space and we'll bring the table) and allow at least 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after the defined service time for set up and clean up.
Access to a water source is required.
Delays due to the customer will not change the price of the service time booked.

Whether preparing for professional photos or attending a special event, hire Artist Ingrid Marie for your unique Face Painting or Body Painting needs. Art By Ingrid reserves the right to change the cost if last-minute requests are made during the appointment.
A minimum of 1 Hour for one to two people at $165.
A minimum of 2 Hours for three to four people at $330.
Each additional 20-minute increment is billed at $55. The time it takes per person during one appointment will be determined based on the complexity of the designs requested.
A 50% deposit is required to book an appointment. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled time; otherwise, you will lose your deposit.

Please indicate the number of anticipated attendees, and whether you're covering the cost of the face or body painting, or if the cost is to be paid by the guest.
Services include professional, non-toxic paints (neon, glow-in-the-dark available), gems and glitter.
Set-up and clean-up time, and access to a water source is required. Depending on the parameters of your request, please allot 30-60 minutes before the start time for set-up, and 30-60 minutes after for strike and cleanup.
A contract or written agreement (and deposit when applicable) is required to confirm the booking.

Why Face Painting?
When I was four, my parents took me to a carnival in our local town. It was Halloween, and it was my first time choosing my own Halloween costume, so I dressed up as a dancing cat, a cat ballerina!
To match my Halloween costume, a face painter gave me my first face painting, cat nose and whiskers.
As the cold brush strokes of black paint landed on my face, and I stared at the artist in wonder, I thought, “Someday, I’ll be a face painter!”
As a kid, I loved experimenting with beauty makeup and the transformative experience of wearing face paint on Halloween.
In middle school, I became our theater group's go-to MUA and applied Ben Nye makeup to any player who asked. Acting!

In high school, I was frequently asked to be my friend’s MUA before attending school dances and taking professional photos— I was then hired to do hairstyles and makeup for two weddings and occasionally cut hair (now I enjoy cutting my son’s hair).
By 2009, I became a face painter in Brooklyn, NY, as part of the Artist Access program at Woodhull Medical Center and Cumberland Diagnostic Center. The Artist Access program was a fantastic way for Brooklyn artists to exchange their artistic talents for health insurance.
It was rewarding to paint children’s faces—seeing them transform and light up with joy was great fun!
Encouraged by positive feedback, I began offering face painting at community centers, after-school and camp programs, public schools, and special events like birthday parties, festivals, street fairs, and block parties in NYC and Central NJ.
